The interior of La Pitchounette is a true retreat for couples seeking peace, warmth and authenticity. Every space has been designed to create an intimate, soft and soothing atmosphere — the perfect place to reconnect as a couple in the heart of the mountains.
This former granite and slate barn has been restored with deep respect for its history. On the ground floor, where cows once stood, you will now find a bright and spacious living area, featuring a handcrafted kitchen and a cosy living space where stone, wood and natural light blend harmoniously.
Upstairs, where hay was once stored, you will discover a comfortable bedroom with its own private bathroom. The exposed beams, the warmth of the wood and the spirit of the past give this room a unique charm that naturally invites rest and serenity.
We chose to furnish the house exclusively with local materials and entirely handcrafted furniture. The cherry wood kitchen units come from nearby forests. As for the bed, it was carved from the trunk of a large oak tree — a raw piece of nature that still preserves an authentic bird’s nest visible in the headboard. A rare and poetic detail, a witness to the generations that once inhabited this place.
Here, every object, every scent of wood, every ray of light filtered through the stone tells a story. A simple yet deeply alive interior, designed to offer you a unique, warm and inspiring stay.
